Beneath the Noise: Bridge Series, Meditation 2
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
What becomes possible when we stop listening to everything else for a moment?
In this second meditation of The Bridge Series, you'll be invited to detach from the noise of expectations, roles, and distractions and into the quiet space where your own inner wisdom can be heard.
Through breath, grounding, observation, and curiosity, you'll create space to listen for the truth already waiting within you.
This is Meditation 2 of a 4-part guided series designed to help you move from where you've been toward what's calling you forward.
Pause.
Observe outward, then inward.
Detached listening.
Hear what your heart is saying.
Keep Picturing Love,
Kris

Welcome to Meditation 2 from the Bridge series, presented to you by Picture Love Podcast. If you have not yet experienced part one, feel free to start there first to feel more calm and rooted before this meditation. And if you have done that already, or you simply feel thoroughly calm in your breath, grounded and relaxed, let's meet you right where you are. I'd like to draw your attention to your feet. If they are not resting firmly on the ground or a surface beneath you, give them the courtesy of that support. Move them to a stool or to the ground, maybe on a piece of furniture. Maybe your feet are in the grass. But let them feel the support that they deserve for all the work they do for us every day. And then I want you to notice how firm your support is beneath you, your feet and your sit bones, your seat. What is holding you? Make sure that your lower back has enough support to keep you balanced And imagine that there is a string attached to the top of your head, the crown of your head. And that string is connecting you to the light that is most pleasing to you, whether it's the sun or God or the Source or your soul in spirit form. Imagine that string is made of gold, and it's connecting you to your true source. And that string keeps your back nice and straight and long. It allows air between your vertebrae so that every inhale can not only fill your lungs and your cells, but that air can find space in between each vertebrae of your spine that goes all the way from inside your head down into your hips to your tailbone. And all that beautiful space that you create with this long spine makes more space for movement and energy to flow and relaxation to fill in. So if you haven't been already, continue to imagine your beautiful, most refreshing breath you can possibly imagine filling your lungs, expanding your belly, expanding your chest, relaxing your shoulders down, and it's spreading through your entire body. Your lungs are just a starting place, and as you exhale, anything that might be stuck in those little places is released. There's nothing but light and breath and nourishing energy coming into and circulating throughout each breath. You inhale and exhale with gratitude and relief. Each inhale is the most refreshing experience filled with support from your source of life. And each exhale is in partnership with the Earth, the air, the trees, the plants that cleanse the air and give us oxygen with every inhale Notice if the shoulders need to go back down where they belong, and find a safe, steady place to rest your hands And if your circumstances allow, let your eyelids grow heavy and let them gently close so that you can go fully into observation of your space with your eyes closed, your sense of smell heightens. Notice your sense of touch, how the nerve endings in your skin gather more information that you're aware of Notice the temperature of the room. Notice if the air is moving around you. Notice if any hairs on your body are being stirred. And with every observation, beautiful nourishing air continues to cycle into your being and to flush out anything that is not for your highest good. From this intention, We're detached from evaluating, comparing, fixing. That's not necessary. That exits with every exhale And with all the information that comes in with your new breaths, you just observe. Enter a state of curiosity. Enter a state of noticing. And noticing changes, subtle ones that take place in your body and in the space you sense around your body. And imagine that beautiful light that golden cord into your head and through your body and that keeps you connected to your feet and in the ground beneath you. Imagine that beautiful golden light circulating throughout. Repairing anything that has been too compressed, too stressed. And that space that you create with that long, tall spine with plenty of space for the air to circulate, it's delivered healing. It's delivered restfulness. You're receiving everything your body needs to nourish itself. And you don't have to ask for it or expect it, but you can notice it with gratitude. Be curious about the shifts that are taking place in your body and around you. Be curious about the wonders of the gravity that allows you to stay rooted. Be curious about the air above you and all around, and how it's working for you even when you don't notice. And notice what sounds you hear around you that are not yours because you are detached. You're detached and curious. And notice no matter how loud the sounds are around you or in the distance, they're outside of you. And now you can start to listen within. Listen to the sound of your heartbeat. Listen to the sound of your pulse. And if you can't hear it, notice the pulse in your hands resting peacefully on your body. Trace that rhythm. Imagine the sound that your heartbeat creates. And then with that imagination, it opens up that hearing, that knowing, and the gratitude that the heart keeps beating, and your pulse keeps flowing, and your breath keeps cycling beautiful oxygen throughout, even when you don't tell it to. Now, if you haven't already, let your breath relax into a restful state. But every inhale continues to support you even when you're not consciously listening and noticing. And the quiet that takes place within us. When we just observe, there's no right or wrong. There's no place to be. There's curiosity and knowing that each one of us are in our own space, our own rhythm, our own time, and that is by design. So what could be in your heart right now that's waiting to be heard? The body is always speaking to us. But the wisdom of the soul speaks through our hearts. What can be found now that we have set down our roles, our conditioning, our systems? What is our soul speaking through our heart right now? Take the next few minutes To breathe and listen with wonder. When other thoughts start to speak, thoughts from your mind instead of messages from your heart, thank them and trust yourself to remember them later, and continue to hold space for your heart to speak with every breath you take. If it helps to keep that space open, just continue to say I observe my heart I observe my heart. I observe my heart. And trust that you will get the message, you will get the information that you need most in your own time. It may be now, it may be in a few minutes or hours, or even upon waking. But take this with you. What is my heart saying? With practice, this is how we discern truth for each one of us amongst the noise of the programs around us. This is not about good or bad. This is about each of us honoring the truth inside of our heart. Your truth has different wisdom from mine, and that doesn't make any one of us wrong. It just leaves us space to listen with curiosity and to stay detached from any judgment. Now we're going to take three breaths. And these breaths are gonna help us leave the invitation open for information to present itself through your words, through your emotions, and never stop paying attention to the signals that your body presents. Because there is always information if only our attention is available to receive. So take a nice, deep, intentional breath, and fill up your lungs and your chest and your belly, and imagine your arms are getting wider and your shoulders are wider and your hips are wider and your arms and legs are wider, and even your throat is wider. And as you exhale, imagine a balloon letting the air out slowly. And a second breath, inhale with me. Deliver that air to your hands and your feet and the top of your head. And hold it and squeeze it just for a moment, and let it out easily. And on this third breath, I want you to fill up your entire being and your field with air, and then pretend you can hold it with your fists. Ready? Fill up. Now ball up your fists. If your eyes are closed, shut them tighter. Tense up your entire body from your head to your shoulders, to your arms, to your hips, to your belly, to your legs, to your knees, to your ankles, to your toes, and hold it for just a moment, and let it go with an exhale. And with that, start to move your fingers and toes. Start to move your shoulders. Turn your head. Your hips and your back to let movement enter again. And when you're ready, open your eyes And carry this through your day. What is my heart speaking to me throughout the noise? May it get easier and easier to know the truth in your heart. And thank you for taking this time out with me to Picture Love into your day. I'll see you next time. Bye-bye.
