a refresh!
Welcome back to Picture Love Friends. I'm so glad you're here. I know I say that every time, but I truly mean it. Your time and your focus are valuable and irreplaceable, and I'm so grateful that you spend a little bit of it here with me on Picture Love. So I'll be honest, the day I'm recording this, I woke up early as I usually do. I'm an early riser. But my head was splitting and my body was aching, and I knew I had slept through the night. So it's nothing like that. But I'm realizing that my body is just extremely sensitive to energy and energies of others and energies of this crazy world that we love so much. And so I am going to interrupt the previously scheduled program to share with you something that I need today. And I believe that if I need it, somebody else will too. But I found myself needing to meditate. And, one of the ways that I like to invite others to meditate with me is through visualization. So if you'll stick around, we are going to do a visualization that is rooted in gratitude and it's supposed to be grounding for you and the benefit of the grounding is you just feel steady. It steady in the storm is my intention. So hopefully this is something that that supports you and if you are listening to this while you're driving, feel free to use it. To just check in with your body while eyes are on the road. If this is something that is just too relaxing when you need to find some energy, maybe try it before going to bed or anytime of day, you just need a reset. That's my intention for this. I lit a candle. And if you're not able to light a candle, just knowing that might help you visualize a candle lit in your presence and taking a deep breath. We're gonna get started, If it's safe, close your eyes and rest your feet firm on the ground or on the surface below you. If you can sit, that's even better. If you are already lying down, that's fine too. But I would like to draw our attention to our breath, the surface supporting us beneath, and just the intention of saying, I am here right now. And with each breath, may we be more and more rooted in that presence. So now let's play a mind movie. If you'll join me. This visualization's going to in color include color and sound and touch and smell. And you might even taste something while in the process. So as you're taking a nice deep breath and maybe your eyes are closed with mine, I'm gonna close mine. Maybe you visualize. That brilliant, bright sun in the sky. The sun that is so faithful and so consistent and pulsing energy. That beautiful, beautiful ball of fire in the sky that warms our faces, that warms our waters, that sparkles the oceans, that feeds our trees and our plants and nourishes the earth beneath us. We think with thankful thoughts, visualize that golden light that just shines down on and through us. And I want you to imagine that that golden sunshine, that beautiful, beautiful light is landing on the crown of your head and, and feel it as if somebody placed a crown on your head, and that beautiful golden light circling and radiating on your crown. Imagine like a mother's hands, gently massaging your scalp. That soothing, tingling feeling, maybe you even feel the chills in the warmest, most comforting way on your nerve endings. And that golden light actually shines in through your crown as if there's a skylight on the top of your head. And that skylight is gonna let all of the light and all of the love in to your vessel, your body, and you say in your mind a quick little thank you for the life giving light and energy that you receive from the sun. And as you take a deep breath, you start to notice a vision in your mind. And that vision as vibrant violet, indigo colors, purple shades of lavenders, and they're dancing around in your mind as if it's a field of flowers and the sunlight is pouring down on this field of flowers and colors that dance in your mind. Maybe they're vines, maybe they're like wild flowers blowing in the breeze. And maybe you even feel a hint of that breeze on your skin, on your face, as that warm golden light continues to shine on and in you. And perhaps you smell the breath. You smell the breath of the wind with your next deep breath. The smells of nature, of grass, of plants, of the air itself reminding you you're alive and that your body is full of senses. All coming back to that beautiful gold warm light that's shining through a new smile on the inside or on your face, or both. With gratitude of the safety and the warmth, and the breeze, and the smells, and the sensations of this beautiful, blissful place, and with your next breath, you start to notice that vision in your mind turns to shades of blue, beautiful periwinkle, blue aqua, all versions of blues in your mind. And as that happens, you start to notice that warmth, that sunlight's warmth, filling your jaw, the back of your neck, your throat, even your lips, with that beautiful sunlight, warmth, that golden light is filling up every cell, and with every breath, it just spreads and radiates beautiful colors, beautiful, soothing. Feelings in your skin and in your body and in the space outside of yourself, and that beautiful blue makes you think of something you saw once that comes to mind. Whether it's somebody's eyes, whether it's a bird, whether it's a place, whether it's crystal, blue waters, somewhere you've been or imagined. Whatever makes your heart smile in those shades of blue, and then you think of something beautiful that you've heard before. Maybe it's a song, maybe it's a word, maybe it's somebody's laughter, but there's sounds attached to that beautiful blue, and those sounds start to resonate in your own voice. Whether it's a hum, whether it's a sigh, whether it's something loving, waiting to be said, and the beautiful gift of sound that resonates in your own voice. And with every breath, that sound becomes more rooted and more peacefully still in your body, and with your next breath. You start to feel tingles from your neck, into your shoulders and into your heart space, and you notice beautiful, vibrant greens come to mind, like emeralds, like fresh spring grass, like a beautiful, beautiful tree with its first leaves, sprouting. All of the beautiful things that you associate with the color green and your heart is tingling with the liveliness, with the resonance from the light, the golden lights, it's pouring through and reflecting off the leaves of the trees and, and the light that shines on the faces of the people or the places that you experience such beautiful images. The kinds of images and thoughts that make your heart flutter with happiness. Places you've been or places you've imagined you've been. Perhaps you've seen them in pictures. Perhaps you've heard them in stories. Maybe a movie made you feel like you were there. But that beautiful green, emerald green and gold dancing in your heart is pulsing through your whole field right now. That beautiful golden light makes the green dance. It dances and it spreads, and it, it dances with the blues and the purples and the, the greens and the golds of all the spaces, but that sunlight has stirred, and you can't help but say thank you and show your appreciation for these thoughts and these feelings and these sensations. They're so beautiful and so magnificent that you feel might even feel chill bumps on your skin in response to the appreciation. And that golden light that's dancing with all of these colors continues down into your solar plexus, your stomach area. That golden light shines so brilliantly. You can't help but sit straighter, stand taller, breathe easier. That breath that was restricted for so long is relaxed, and we appreciate with every deep breath, the ease that comes as a result of just letting go. That light is pulsing through my whole body, and I imagine yours too, like waves, like electrical waves, like fireflies dancing throughout. They're dancing, they're flying. They're circling around with speaking messages of courage in every cell of our being. Courage to speak. When it might not be popular to sing louder than we would dare to sing, to imagine wilder. To melt boundaries with this golden light and this yellow confidence, the yellow of Papa Bumblebee. The yellow of a brilliant lemon. That's never sorry to feel sour or bitter. It just is, and it's never restricted itself to say I should be less than bright and brilliant. The yellow that inspires gold, that beautiful, beautiful shade of yellow that makes a flowers face pop. That confidence, that courage, that authenticity shines really, and all of that sunlight, piping through it makes it radiate and dance and circulate and resonate. And then you can't help but see that orange, the orange that you see in a sunrise, that orange that shows in a sunset. That orange on a tree, that orange and a butterfly's wing, that orange of creation and creativity, that orange that might be churning as you're digesting your last meal. That creative space where life develops that creative space, where beautiful, beautiful creations are born. Celebrating that, not restricting it. Let go of those stomach muscles, let that belly relax. Maybe that belt deserves to be a little bit looser. Maybe that drawstring needs to not tie so tight. Let that breath fill you up freely from top to bottom, and that all of these colors dance, carried in the energy of that sunlight all the way down to your root, where you're being held, where you are sitting, where you stand, where your ancestors stood. Think of that deep, beautiful crimson red, the color of root and trust. The color of being the color that we root ourselves onto the earth herself. Think of that beautiful red on the back of a ladybug and the petals of a rose on the lips of a beauty. Think of red on the nail beds of somebody you love. Think of that red as the color of life pulsing through our veins. Think of that red with trust in just being. That red is vibrant and dancing, and every breath delivers that beautiful sunlight through our roots into the earth herself with such radiant joy and vitality, authenticity, and presence. We are here. Take a deep breath from the sun to the earth and back and forth with me now. Notice if your hands are tingling. Notice if your skin is dancing. Notice if your feet are warmer than they were before. Notice any little change in or outside or surrounding your body and above all, ride the breath. In and out that faithfully fills your body. I invite you to continually receive the sun's light, the assurance of presence, and the gratitude of every breath in this existence. I invite you to pause this if you need time to just sit and feel. If you're ready to come around and return to your day, then with me, will you gently start to move your fingers, flex your toes a little bit, maybe an ankle circle feels good to you. Just keep delivering those beautiful deep breaths, and if it helps you to start returning to a normal breath pattern, that's fine too. Just use your body's cues to do what feels best. Maybe you need to start repositioning where you're seated. I love to move my back a little bit and maybe a shoulder roll or two. And when you're ready to flutter your eyes open gently. Maybe just look down at first, down at your knees, or your toes or your hands. Thank them for the service that they provide. Every day, whether they're paid, whether we notice them or not. They continue to serve us every day. Thank your body for the experience of life that we are given right now. And I hope that you continue to feel the sun, even if it's the dark of night. Feel the sun's warmth because just'cause we don't see it, doesn't mean it isn't radiating and reaching you. It's only a thought away. An intention away, and I hope that these intentions today have helped you find more peace in your body as it has for me. Until next time, keep picturing love my friends. I love you.
