The Power of One Small Voice: A Voice Portal Into Love
What if a single voice- your voice- could shift the frequency of the world?
In this soul-stirring episode of Picture Love, Kris LeDonne shares a visionary meditation that blossomed from a single memory… and expanded into a peaceful revolution.
Inspired by the 1966 animated The Grinch Stole Christmas movie and the timeless truth of harmony through song, this guided visualization invites you into a world where love is louder than fear… where one small voice becomes many… and where the beast of division melts under the warmth of unity.

a refresh!
Welcome back to Picture Love. Friends, I come to you never more aware of my mission. My mission to speak truth and speak love into the universe, and I thank you so much for being here with me. I am so committed to being the love. Expressing and shining and inspiring the love that I wish to see in the world. The love that I know that I am and the love that I know we all are. And some of us have forgotten and others of us slip from moment to moment. I know I do, but if collectively we all remembered the love that we really are, there will always be somebody in the state of love when others slip. And I was given the gift of a beautiful vision while meditating, and it's something that's gonna be very familiar to somebody. And if you can think back to the 1966 version. Of the animated, the Grinch who stole Christmas, you know that Seuss, Dr. Seuss rhyme set to animation. It's been definitely more than a minute since I saw the original animated version, but the reason I'm drawing your attention to it is my vision. Was a reminder of a scene. The, the, the really, the pivotal moment in that story where the Grinch had already thought he could prevent Christmas from happening. Now, you do not have to be Christian. You do not have to celebrate any holiday or Christmas in order to take away the beautiful scene that I am sharing and remembering right now. So, just religion aside for a minute, this scene is the Grinch waking up on Christmas morning to the sound of singing. And he looks down on the town from the top of his mountain with all of the Christmas trees and the, the decorations and the food and the turkeys and, and all of the things that visually he recognized as the meaning of Christmas. He was schooled. He realized that nothing that he could take away from those people would make them forget the spirit of love that they were sharing on that holiday. And the vision is the residents of Whoville, all gathering hand in hand, circling up to sing, to let their voices raise love. And it reminds me of all of the peaceful protests that are not just happening here in the United States. They're happening around the world. They're peaceful protests, but they're speaking truth. And even some are singing too. But imagine this. The vision I had started with that scene from the movie and all these, all these sweeties and whoville hand in hand, you know, all of their differences set aside in remembrance of unity and peace and love, and their voices in their hands made them one. It made them feel like one and sound like one and look like one. And I then my vision was one small voice, maybe a child, maybe just one person on the streets breaking into song. Let their be peace on earth. Somebody else jumping in and singing and someone else singing. And instead of shouting words of anger and hate and resentment, they hand in hand, connected, hand on shoulder, hand on hand, hand on backpack, elbows, locking arms, embracing, all as a show of unity and singing. Singing, whether they knew the words or not, they were singing, they were humming, they were swaying in unity and in love. They were picturing love into the faces of those we call frozen water. They were singing love to the faces of those who prefer to terrorize, try to stir fear, who threaten with violence, and, and the song and my vision froze them. Froze that behavior. In my vision. I actually saw arms being laid down. I saw the looks softening. I saw, I saw ease. I saw peace coming over, kind of like clouds opening and letting the warmth of the sun shine on the crowd. The peace that passed understanding passed through this crowd and into those who are acting in division, and that vision showed me the peeace that overtook and interrupted a system of damage and division and distortion. That oneness became a connective spirit that reminded us that we are all one-, one humanity. And a broken system is trying to break us more, but it's breaking. A system breaking down is loud and it, and it's flailing and it's screaming, and it's trying to cause more damage to gain traction, to gain control that it's losing. And it might, it might wish to stir fear in us, but my vision is that it, it doesn't, it quiets the beast. And the beast stops flailing. The beast starts to shrink and the beast starts to recoil. And the beast starts to wither, and then the beast is reduced to the size of an ant, and nobody felt the need to step on that little ant because it didn't matter anymore because we were all one. We were arm in arm, we were picking each other up. We were caring for one another. We were crossing the street to make amends. We were crossing the street to not agree with what was done, but to honor the decisions of each of us. Honor the fact that I have my choices and you have yours. That one voice caused a revolution of voices, singing love, picturing love, through voice, through sound, through unity, through oneness, and that's the love I choose to picture. So if that vision gives somebody ease or pause to find their peace today, then I've done my job. But I encourage you all to Google the image, the images of the carolers in the Grinch Who Stole Christmas, and it was 1966. I was not born yet, but it's that scene of the townspeople in Whoville hand in hand that are my inspiration of peace that passes understanding. And I hope that that song is in your mind or one that does it equally. Songs that help us look within. For the peace that lies in all of us, help us look within for that love, whether it's we are the world, whether it is man in the mirror, whether it's peace on earth, whether it's whatever song comes to mind that helps you picture love. I hope that that's the song that keeps you company and wraps you in a warm blanket today that quenches your thirst. Warms your heart. Opens your heart. May the sunshine warm on your back. May the words that come out of your mouth radiate love in your heart and may your hand. Reach out in peace and may we all remember we were all babies once and somewhere along the way a system, a broken system tried to break us. But may we all remember who we really are through it all, and it is never too late to start remembering the love that we really are. I would love to invite you to stick with me if you would like a peace visualization with me now. And if this is not the time, please download the episode, share it with a friend, come back to it. It'll be waiting for you when you are ready. So hopefully it is safe for you to sit quietly and still. Hopefully you're not driving. If you are, feel free to come back, but above all, stay safe. If you are in a space to sit still with your feet grounded, whether it's on the actual ground or under something firm, underneath your feet, your back supported. Your body temperature just right. If you're cold, grab a blanket, maybe even a pillow on your lap, something to help your body feel at rest. If you have to lay down, you may fall asleep, and that's okay. But if you would participate with me in picturing love in your mind, it really will make a difference. Take a deep breath with me and let it out easy and slow. With every inhale, bring in gratitude and fill your lungs with joy. If you're not feeling that joy, imagine that being the sunlight that graces the earth, and just imagine that sunlight filling your body. With every breath and every exhale, you're letting out another measure of the tension that may have been collected in your jaw. In your shoulders, in your stomach, in your hips, even in your toes. Just let it go. Bit by bit, breath by breath, and I'd love for you to envision that, that heart of yours, that beautiful, radiant heart of yours, starts to rest and relax and open. Kind of like a flower blooming, and the petals spread and open for the sunlight. And with every inhale, you're inviting more of that sunlight to fill your heart. That's so open and beautiful. Let it out easily, calmly, and more at ease with every exhale. And start to envision a child maybe when you know, maybe when you don't, a child standing there on the street looking up, squinting to get the sunlight on his or her face, and that little child in the midst of all the chaos around them starts singing. At first, nobody hears, but that child just keeps singing and singing and somebody walking by brushes against them, and that little hand reaches out and grabs a grownup's hand thinking it's their grandfather or their grandmother or somebody they love and know. When they realize that person isn't who they thought it was, they giggle and they keep singing, and that person recognizes the song and joins with them because who couldn't resist that little hand in theirs singing a song of love. It softened the hand and the heart of that person walking by. The two of them keep singing their song, and then others start watching and noticing the chaos and the noise and the tension going on around. But these two people, a child and an adult standing there and just singing and they gradually start singing along and others might come in and grab the adult's hand. And other kids come gather around their little friend, their younger brother or sister or neighborhood friend. And before you know it, there's about a dozen voices singing that same song. Not everybody knows the words, but they know the tune. And eventually the words become clearer and louder, and next thing you know. You hear voices overhead in the buildings where they're hearing that song and start singing along, and somebody who's on the street with their saxophone starts playing along, and then you hear somebody drumming on the side of their bag or on a table nearby. Then more voices are joining in, and that sunlight just seems to be spreading from face to face to face to face, and crossing the street where there's a gap between armed people and peaceful protestors who are more and more singing instead of speaking. And then you see. The posture of more and more people soften and the singing becomes so joyful. People start passing around water bottles so that they can keep singing, and then you see posture starting to relax. Where tension was holding guns. You see visors being lifted where helmets were fully engaged. You see somebody sitting down to take a breath and start listening to the crowds. You start to hear words that don't seem familiar, but they're singing the same tune, and you realize. There's more than one language singing this song right now. Then you start hearing other pitches, and there's harmony coming from the streets. Windows start opening up. Lines are raised from apartments up above, and businesses start pulling back the curtains. Or the shades in their windows, and you see people singing through the glass. And then you know the next thing you know, there's a helicopter above filming it, videoing it. And there's an eruption where you don't hear yelling, you don't hear traffic. You'd only hear the sound of the helicopter recording. The sound of harmony and voices and instruments and drums and clapping, and you see crowds swaying left and right and left and right, and you realize your face is tight, but not in the same way. Your cheeks are smiling without you even realizing, and hope starts to spread. And weapons start getting put away. They start getting locked up. You see helmets coming off of heads. You see backpacks coming off of shoulders. You see blankets laying out and people sharing food. You see somebody coming out of a coffee shop with trays of hot chocolate, hot tea, hot coffee, and passing them around. Shop openers, shop owners opening their doors, setting up tables, and passing out goods. You see. People coming out with their dogs, coming out with their children, all filling the streets with joy. And then you have people up in their offices not necessarily happy of what's going on because they realized that they have their plans of subdivision, have foiled, they have had. They're disruption disrupted because the sound of peace and love and harmony is filling the streets and everyone there is breathing gradually more and more fully. Their feet are firm on the ground. Their eyes look up in joy, and then you end. Without any warning. A uniform, a bulletproof uniform gets laid down and arms spread, walks across the street and hugs a civilian, and then you see the country's flag. Getting waved and passed around, and people start to embrace and they start waving that flag, and more flags come out, more country flags come out, and they're waving all together in unison, in peace and in honor flags. From North America, flags from South America. Waving jackets come off and t-shirts are showing different nationalities. Somebody gets out their green card and starts waving and cheering, and people erupt with applause. The crowds keep singing their songs, more voices, more languages, more harmonies, and then people start dancing. They start dancing and waving flags and hugging and embracing and communing, and eventually the song starts to soften. As community starts to share stories, stories of lessons learned, stories of self-awareness, stories of new understanding, stories of remembrance, recipes shared of how to make the perfect cup of coffee. Reminiscing of the beautiful costumes that need to come out for the next dance plans that get canceled because they no longer need to protest. They just sing. And in the distance you hear a children's choir singing and clapping. Joyfully and the crowds cheer at the end of every song, every verse they sing, and eventually the songs are just overlapping each other. Nobody's started in the same place as anybody else. It's just joyful, joyful noise everywhere. The most beautiful harmony of all creation. And it all started with one small voice. So whatever your song is today, choose one. Sing it to yourself or hum it, or just sing it in your mind and let it bring your breath back to peace. Let your feet be present on the ground. Let that vision, let hope burn brightly in your heart. And don't ever, ever be afraid to sing. I love you and I hope this brings you peace today. And as you start to normalize your breath and you move your hands and you move your feet. You start to move again, coming out of your visualization. Treat your body with gentleness. Treat your heart with appreciation, and know that love and peace can be loud or silent. It does not have to agree, but it honors many parts of the whole. I love you. And let's picture love together now. Again and again.
